[discussion] what's everyone's opinion on Christopher Ward?
Main Post:
I find that I really want to love them because they are so well regarded but every single one I look at just looks like an homage of a different more expensive name brand. I've been looking for a dress watch and figure I would give them another shot but again every time I see the watches I see the watch they were trying to look like. I really like micro brands but more when they have their own original design language like farer.
Anyone else feel this way? And bonus question recommend some micro brands that you like
Top Comment: I would love to own Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra white dial but don't want to pay the price. I'm happy with my "poor man's version," Cw Sealander.

Does anyone know the make of his watch I've tried to go through his videos as I know he's mentioned it before but I just can't seem to find it anywhere so if anyone knows that would be great

Does anybody watch Chris Sumo (formerly Chris Gould) on youtube?
Main Post:
I just want to give him a shout out on here, because his videos have enhanced my sumo experience 1000%. I look forward to his videos as much as each days bouts and his content keeps the hype going between bashos. If you haven't checked him out go and find his channel on youtube, you wont regret it.
Top Comment: I know he’s changed his name and his style, but I still won’t forget the tantrum he threw initially when his videos weren’t doing well. For those who haven’t been around as long, Chris used to just read the newspaper into a foggy webcam. Eventually, he made a video that required editing and voiceover and actual insight. The video did well, and rather than be grateful for the response, he decided to throw a really distasteful amount of shade on Jason, Kinta, and Natto, saying that channels that do nothing but show the matches did well, but he had to put in all this extra effort (ie basic editing and video making as opposed to just recording himself reading with poor audio quality) to get his videos noticed despite all his insight and opinions. It left a permanently bad taste in my mouth regarding him. Not only that, but he also, in such an insular niche community, has a tendency to reinforce his opinions as facts that get perpetuated throughout the community as a result of it. He has on more than one occasion heavily implied he either believes in or supports the Mongolian Yaocho conspiracy (especially as regards Hakuho) which is not only xenophobic but completely unsubstantiated to boot.
Anyone else glad we can watch Chris Benoit on WWE Network?
Main Post:
People I've introduced to WWE never knew Benoit, and it's hard to find 'official' content with him in it anymore since WWE tried to scrub him from history. It had occurred to me that they could easily have edited him out if they were determined.
Now I get to watch all the awesome again.

On one hand, people certainly deserve to move on from their past mistakes and not have them haunt the rest of their lives (within reason).
On the other, he
- participated in a group assault against a kid way younger than himself while in a position of power
- didn't bother to apologise until years later when it became politically expedient
- was given a chance to admit this to his voters when a paper asked about his past regrets, instead choosing to lie about it and give some patsy answer about how great NZ is, and
- proceeded to grandstand about law and order in his maiden speech, and work toward "hard on crime" policies which he specifically escaped thanks to rich parents
On the balance of facts and events, nah, screw this dude. He may not deserve to be eternally punished for something stupid done in his teen years, but his recent actions to cover it up show that there's no way in hell he is fit to sit in Parliament. This is very clearly someone who isn't sorry about his awful behaviour, he's sorry he got caught.
Fair enough to National for having a different opinion I guess, but shame on Uffindell for not offering his resignation.
